Reconnect with your body and learn how to feel safe, grounded, and regulated, especially when emotions feel overwhelming.

Somatic Therapy helps you understand how your nervous system holds onto stress, trauma, and emotional experiences, and teaches you how to release and regulate those responses in a gentle, body-based way. Instead of only talking about what’s going on, somatic therapy helps you feel and process it through the body, where many of these patterns live.

What is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic Therapy is a body-centered, evidence-informed approach that focuses on the connection between your mind and nervous system. It’s based on the understanding that our bodies store stress, trauma, and emotional experiences, and that healing happens when we learn how to safely reconnect with those sensations.
Rather than analyzing thoughts alone, somatic therapy helps you tune into physical sensations and build awareness of how your body responds to stress, emotions, and triggers. From there, you’ll learn how to gently shift those patterns.

Many clients appreciate somatic therapy because it’s gentle, grounding, and helps create real, noticeable shifts in how they feel day-to-day, not just how they think.

How Somatic Therapy Can Support You

Somatic Therapy helps you build a new relationship with your body and nervous system. Instead of feeling controlled by stress responses like fight, flight, or shutdown, you’ll learn how to recognize what’s happening in your body and respond in ways that bring you back to a sense of balance.
In sessions, this might look like slowing things down, noticing sensations, practicing grounding techniques, and building awareness of what feels safe or activating. Over time, you’ll develop tools to regulate your emotions in real time, feel more present, and move through challenges with greater ease.
This approach can be especially helpful if you’re navigating anxiety, chronic stress, trauma, ADHD, or emotional fluctuations connected to hormonal changes. As you build nervous system awareness and regulation skills, many clients begin to feel more steady, connected, and in control of their experiences, both emotionally and physically.
